Background

After completing an HND in Health and Fitness David decided to pursue his interest in exercise by studying Coaching Science at Liverpool John Moores University (JMU). JMU’s department of Sport and Exercise Science is the UK’s premier school. The school is identified as the number one Sports and Exercise Science department by the external quality assurance agency (QAA).
David achieved top grade in the class of 2002, in which he specialized in exercise physiology. David’s final year dissertation was funded by the British Heart Foundation to aid the development of a heart failure prognostic tool known as the “The Peak Exercise Cardiac Output Test”. David worked alongside the Liverpool County Football Development Unit where he organised and ran the disability football leagues. David was also fitness coach to the girls primary football team and together with the JMU, ran the ladies football team. At the unit he also promoted physical activity among children with Diabetes by establishing “Exercise fun days” which was run in conjunction with Alder Hay Hospital.
